Every nonprofit has unique needs, which means the data you want readily available isn’t what another organization might want. That’s why we redesigned Qgiv’s dashboards to be customizable, with drag-and-drop insights to help you build a dashboard packed with data that tells a story about your campaigns, events, and donors!
Here’s a list of some of the changes and new features:
- Create different dashboards for different collections of data
- Add data insights with a variety of metrics
- Customize insights by time range and chart type
- Arrange data insights on a dashboard into columns and rows
- Delete dashboards and insights you don’t need
- Add an accessible theme to a dashboard
- Filter data for an entire dashboard
- Add goals to supported insights
- Link from data insights to filtered reports
Let’s look at the major features in more detail!
Create different dashboards for different collections of data
Your data should tell a story. And you might need different stories for different scenarios, so we’ve added the ability to configure more than one dashboard for your organization.
All users have access to two preconfigured dashboards: Online Processing Overview and Detailed Breakdown. These dashboards come preloaded with data insights that we think you’ll love!
Online Processing Overview
Detailed Breakdown
You can also make new dashboards from scratch and select whatever insights you want! With the Starter package, you can have up to three dashboards at a time.
Giving Essentials users have access to preconfigured dashboards for Donors, Auctions, and Peer-to-Peer fundraising. With Giving Essentials, you can also add unlimited dashboards to your account.
Add data insights with a variety of metrics
The new dashboards are made up of data insights, covering a wide range of data metrics.
With more than 30 different insights to choose from, you can create dashboards that meet your unique needs.
Customize insights by time range and chart type
Even data insights themselves are customizable!
When you add a new data insight to a dashboard, you configure the metric that will be displayed and the chart type that determines how to display the data, and for some metrics, you can even specify the time frame in the insight settings.
Depending on the type of data, more than one chart type might be available.
For example, the Contributions by Form insight can display as a pie chart, a bar chart, or list.
Arrange data insights on a dashboard into columns and rows
If you want a new perspective, you can rearrange your data with a simple drag and drop action!
Add an accessible theme to a dashboard
It’s vital that your dashboards are accessible to anyone at your organization who needs them, so we’ve provided a variety of color options to ensure accessibility needs are met.
Choose from nine different color schemes to make your dashboards beautiful!
Standard Themes
High Contrast Themes
Colorblind-Friendly Themes
Filter data for an entire dashboard
You can also filter your dashboards to look at data from specific time ranges or from specific forms and events.
Add goals to supported insights
We know how important it is to quickly and easily measure performance when it comes to key metrics, so that's why we've added goals to dashboard insights! To learn more about how to add Target, Progress, and Per Item goals to supported data insights, check out this article.
Link from data insights to filtered reports
Finally, because we think reporting in Qgiv should be seamless, lots of data insights link directly to related reports, filtered exactly how you need them!
