A New Registration Experience
The redesigned registration system offers a modern aesthetic, in line with our donation forms. And with even more customization options, the flow of registration is simpler and more streamlined.
Here’s a peek at what the new flow looks like for registrants. To see more of the front end, check out our Participant Registration Guide article.

No matter how detailed your campaign's registration, the Your Summary view remains on the right side of the screen throughout and updates as registrants add optional gifts, GiftAssist, and additional participants.
No account to get started
Participants want the option to register first and create an account later. The redesigned registration delivers!
The registration confirmation screen now prompts new participants to set up an account password to access their Fundraising Dashboards.
Registrants who have participated in a previous peer-to-peer campaign will see a link to access their Fundraising Dashboards and a reminder about the previous event on the login modal.
New and improved follow-up emails
After your participants register, they’ll receive our new Fundraising Email to encourage them to finish setting up their account and log in.
Fundraisers can bookmark this email and use it to return to their Fundraising Dashboard at any time!
The email emphasizes your organization’s name and event, rather than Qgiv branding, to make sure participants know the email is coming from you.
And if a user forgets their password and asks for help, they’ll receive the new Reset Your Password email.
Streamline registration with a single category
Half of peer-to-peer campaigns use only one registration category. If your campaign is one of those, you can now streamline registration and remove the category selection screen by selecting the Single Category option in the Category Settings.
Participants will see the area to enter their details as soon as they begin registration.
If you enable multiple categories, registrants will be asked how they want to participate before they enter their personal details.
Ability to hide classifications if you’re not using them
To further streamline both your registration and your form-level navigation in Qgiv, Classifications are disabled and hidden unless you decide to activate them for your campaign.
When Classifications are disabled, you won’t see a link in the Campaign Settings navigation, keeping it less cluttered.
Also, if you enable and configure Classifications but then change your mind and disable them, the link will disappear, but the system won’t delete the Classifications you configured. They’ll be tucked away out of sight. If you ultimately decide you do want to use them, they’ll still be there waiting for when you re-enable them.
Primary participants can manage additional participants’ fundraising pages
Our legacy peer-to-peer registration included the ability for primary participants to add additional participants. This is great for parents/caregivers who would like to register children to participate with them!
Our new registration maintains that functionality and adds the ability for the primary participant to manage the additional participant's fundraising page.
Now, kids won’t need their own email address or account to set up a fundraising page. All pages can be managed from the primary registrants’ account!
To allow primary participants to manage additional participants’ fundraising pages, make sure to toggle on Enable Additional Participants in the Registration Settings. Then, check the box for Allow Primary Participant to manage the fundraising page of Additional Participants.
During registration, primary participants will see an option to add another participant at the bottom of the personal details page and in the registration summary.
When they log in to their Fundraising Dashboard, the primary participant will see an option to switch profiles.
Apply GiftAssist during registration
We know you love the ability to offset processing fees with GiftAssist. Now you can include the GiftAssist option during registration.
If registrants choose to apply it, GiftAssist will be added to registration fees and any optional donations.
New options for promo codes
If you have multiple promo codes set up for your campaign, you can now limit their use to one unique code per transaction to avoid promo code “stacking.”
Within each code’s settings, you can also limit how many participants can use the promo code in a single transaction.
We're so excited about the redesigned peer-to-peer registration, and we hope you are to!
To get started, head to your My Qgiv: Forms area, and click the Enable Updates button on any eligible peer-to-peer form.
If you're not using peer-to-peer yet, schedule a demo to see the new registration in action!
