Email tags pull information from auction form fields and place it in a donor or auction registrant’s emailed receipts and other emails. Tags appear in the following format while you're editing: %INFO%. They'll populate with information from the actual transaction when the email gets sent out. There are many different tags you can use to further personalize your receipts and emails. The following is a glossary of available auction email tags!

Event Registration Email

Sends after an attendee registers for the auction

Organization Tags

Organization Name %OrganizationName% Displays your organization's public-facing name.

Transaction Tags

Date %Date% Displays the date the donation was made.

Transaction ID %TransactionID% A donation’s unique ID number is displayed.

Salutation %Salutation% Displays the donor’s specified salutation preference (ex. Mr., Mrs., Ms., etc.).

Donor %Donor% Displays the donor’s first and last name together or the company name if no name information was provided.

First Name %FirstName% Displays only the donor’s first name.

Last Name %LastName% Displays only the donor’s last name.

Email %Email% Displays the donor’s provided email.

Company %Company% Displays the donor’s provided company.

Employer %Employer% Displays the donor's provided employer.

Phone %Phone% Displays the donor’s phone number.

Address %Address% Displays the donor’s address.

City %City% Displays the donor’s city.

Payment Type %PaymentType% Displays if the transaction was an eCheck, credit card, cash, or check transaction or if the payment was invoiced.

Donation Amount %Amount% Displays the amount donated.

Recurring Frequency %Time% Displays whether the donation is a one-time gift or will recur on a weekly or monthly basis.

Event Tags

Event Name %Ename% Displays the name of the event the donor is giving to or the participant bought a ticket to attend.

Event Description %Edescription% Displays the description given of the event.

Event Date %Edate% Displays the date of the event.

Event Time %Etime% Displays the time the event begins.

Event Location %Elocation% Displays where the event is located.

Add To Calendar Link %EaddToCalendarLink% Displays links to add the event to a calendar.

Fair Market Value %FairMarketValue% This will display the non-tax deductible portion of the package price entered in the control panel.

Total Fair Market Value %TotFairMarketValue% If more than one package is purchased that has a fair market value listed, this tag will display the sum of the fair market value amounts for each package.

Total Cost %TotCost% If multiple packages are purchased (and/or an optional donation), this will display the total payment made.

Total Registration Cost %RegistrationTotal% Displays the total cost of event registration.

Tax Deductible Amount %DeductAmount% Displays the amount donors/event participants can claim for income tax purposes. This amount deducts the value of goods and services provided to the donor/event participant.

Package Name %PackageName% This tag inputs only the package name without any additional information on the package.

Package Basic %PackageSimple% Displays basic package information including the package name, date the package was purchased, quantity of tickets purchased, and the amount of the purchase.

Package Details %PackageDetailed% Displays more detailed information on the purchased package. Includes the Package Name, a Package Description, the quantity purchased, the amount of the purchase, and Participant Fields.

Event Donation Amount %EventDonation% Displays the amount donated toward the event in addition to the participant’s registration or as an outright donation toward the event.

Event Fields %EventFields% Displays the donor/event participant’s responses to custom fields specific to the event.

Product Purchase Details %PurchaseDetails% Displays the product details for items purchased during registration, including the total cost, quantity purchased, price per item, and tax-deductible value of the items.

Ticket Confirmation Page %TicketConfirmationPage% Displays link to a page with receipt summary and instructions to start bidding.

Event Contact Name %EventContactName% Displays what is entered the Contact First Name and Contact Last Name fields in the Auction Settings.

Dedication Text %DedicationText% Displays the text entered by the person making the dedicated donation (usually they enter the name of the person to whom the gift is dedicated).

Dedication Name %DedicationName% Displays the selected dedication option (In honor of, in memory of, etc.).

Anonymous Donation %Anonymous% Displays a yes or no indicating whether the donor wants the gift to be anonymous or not.

Opt-In For Contact %OptIn% Displays a yes or no response indicating if the donor selected to receive or not receive messages or be added to an organization’s mailing list.

Refund Amount %RefundAmount% Displays the amount refunded back to the donor.

Pledge Name %PledgeName% Displays the name given to the donor’s pledge.

Pledge ID %PledgeID% Displays the ID associated with the Pledge for use in a shareable URL.

Recurring Tags

Recurring ID %RecID% Displays a unique ID number that helps identify a donor’s specific recurring donation.

Recurring Start Date %StartDate% Displays when recurring donations will start being made.

Recurring End Date %EndDate% Displays the date the recurring donation will end.

Recurring Frequency %Time% Displays whether the donation is a one-time gift or will recur on a weekly or monthly basis.

Alt Recurring Frequency %TimeAlt% Displays the recurring frequency for use in a sentence (e.g., weekly, monthly, annual).

Recurring Next Bill Date %NextBill% Displays the date of the next recurring donation payment. This field helps show recurring donors when they can expect the next transaction to take place.

Paid Recurring Donation Balance %TotalPaymentProcessed% Displays the balance of payments already processed for the recurring gift pledge.

Remaining Recurring Donation Balance %TotalPaymentRemaining% Displays the total remaining balance of the recurring gift pledge that still hasn’t been billed for and paid yet.

Total Recurring Donation Amount %TotalPayment% Displays the total sum of the recurring gifts that are to be made in the gift’s specified timeframe.

Recurring Decline Reason %DeclineReason% This field provides a reason for a donor’s recurring gift payment having been declined.

Recurring Summary Link %RecurringSummaryLink% Displays a link to the donor's Recurring Summary page.

Dedication Notification Email

Sends to a dedication recipient when a donor chooses to dedicate their gift
