Hosting an auction that has a similar online format to one you've hosted in the past? You can clone past auction events directly in your Qgiv control panel!
Please note: Cloning is how you create new forms in Qgiv. If you want to start fresh with a brand new auction, you'll still use the cloning feature described in this article. You just won't clone any of the past auction's attributes.
To clone an auction, navigate to Form Management from your organization's dashboard.
Then, scroll down to Auctions.
Find the auction you want to clone and click Clone Auction.
Then, name your auction and choose whether to carry over API Access. Click Continue.
Then, select which Attributes to carry over. Once you've toggled on the fields you want to bring over to your new auction, click Continue. For explanations of the cloneable attributes, check out this article.
Please note: If you want to start fresh with a brand new auction, don't clone any of the past auction's attributes.
Select the Permissions to carry over from the previous event. Permissions determine which users are able to access and change the auction and to what extent they're able to make changes.
Finally, click Continue to review the options selected when cloning the event.
Once you click the Create Auction button on this final step, you'll be taken back to My Qgiv. Scroll down to Auctions to confirm a new auction event was created.
From there, you can click Manage Auction to continue configuring your new auction event.
