General Settings
The General Settings section is where you can change the Internal Form Name and Form Title and configure some basic options on your form.
The Internal Form Name is how your form name will be displayed in the control panel and reports. The Form Title is the public-facing form name that will display in the browser tab and when your form is shared on social media.
The Form Tags area is how you can attach informational tags to your form. These tags are for internal use and will not display on your public-facing form.
Next you'll see options to toggle on:
- One-time Donations: Offers a way for donors to make a single donation.
- Recurring Donations: Donors can make a recurring donation in accordance with the frequency options you configure.
- Donor Accounts: If a donor creates an account, they can easily manage recurring gifts and payment methods.
- GiftAssist: Offers a way for donors to help offset processing fees.
- Include unverified offline and unfulfilled matching donations in fundraising thermometers: When enabled, donations you receive offline or through matching gifts will be included in your fundraising thermometers before an organization administrator has verified them.
GiftAssist
GiftAssist offers a way for donors to help offset processing fees. You can enter a percentage or dollar amount that goes toward offsetting fees. The message in the text field is editable, but you'll want to be sure to leave the %Fee% tag. This is where the percentage or dollar amount that will be added to the donation total will populate on the public-facing form.
If you toggle on Opt-in Donors by default, the GiftAssist option will be automatically enabled for all visitors to your donation form. Donors can uncheck the option on the form if they do not want to pay the additional fee.
The image below shows what the first step of a multistep form looks like when one-time donations, recurring donations, GiftAssist, and donor accounts are toggled on. Donors with an account will see an option to sign in. First-time donors or those without an account will be prompted to create one during the last step of the donation process.
Appearance Settings
In Appearance Settings, you can choose between a multistep or single-step donation form.
Pro tip: Multistep forms have been shown to increase conversion rates.
Text-To-Donate Settings
This area displays a list of the SMS keywords associated with the form. If you've set the keyword to require an amount or have start/end dates, that will display here as well.
Admin Notifications
In this section, you can choose from existing recipients to receive notifications associated with the form you're setting up. To configure notifications for other forms, visit the Notifications section of your org-level control panel.
Receipt Options
You can navigate to your form's receipts for editing purposes by clicking the green hyperlinked text.
Internationalization Settings
The settings here determine how dollar amounts are displayed on your form. The default currency format is US Standard, but you can change the format to German, Swiss, French, or Indian Standard. You can also change the currency symbol and determine if it should appear before or after the dollar amount.
When you're satisfied with your settings in the General section, click Save Form Settings.
