Can peer-to-peer donors choose to remain anonymous?
Yes. When your supporters donate to your campaign or to an individual or team fundraiser, they'll be given some control over what information about their gift can be shared publicly.
Donors can elect to show their name and donation amount on public campaign pages or deselect these options so their donation details aren't shared publicly.
During the donation process, checking the boxes in the Privacy Options section of the form will hide the donor's information from public pages.
Will our organization still receive the anonymous donor's information?
Yes! Despite hiding their information on public campaign pages, your organization will still be able to see the donor's information. Your payment processor and Qgiv will also see the donor's information but will not share it with anyone.
If the donor gives to an individual or team fundraiser, does the individual and/or team receive the donor's name?
It's up to you! In your campaign's Fundraising Settings, you can decide if you want fundraisers to receive information about anonymous donors. When Allow fundraising participants to see anonymous donor information is toggled off, only your organization will see anonymous donor information. When the setting is toggled on, the fundraiser will see the donor's information.
Of course, anonymous donor information is never shared on public pages, regardless of what you choose for this setting.
