If you'd like to offer donors a way to dedicate their donation to someone or something, dedications are the answer!
Head to the Dedications area of your auction's form-level control panel to create and manage your dedications.
You must set up at least one dedication for dedications to appear on your donation form.
Dedication Types are the phrases that will appear before the name of the person or thing to which a donor is designating their gift (In honor of, In celebration of, etc.)
Click Add New Dedication Type to create a new dedication.
In the resulting Dedication Text area, just enter the text you’d like associated with the dedication, such as “In honor of” or “In celebration of.”
Click Add New Dedication Type (or Cancel), and you'll be taken back to the main listing of dedication types.
You can enable or disable dedications by using the toggle.
You can Edit or Delete a dedication at any time by clicking those options in the listing.
You may also reorder your dedication types and fields within the listings by dragging and dropping them to a new position.
Please note: If you want to offer donors the opportunity to send an email to a recipient notifying them that a donation was made in their name or the name of their loved one, you can turn on Dedication Notifications in the Auction Settings area.
Donors can only dedicate donations when they click the donation button on your auction event page. Making an optional one-time gift when registering does not offer the option to dedicate the donation.
