Facebook has made it simple for nonprofit organizations to pin posts to the top of their Facebook Pages. Pin posts that you want to make sure are seen by visitors to your page.
One important way you can utilize this feature is to pin a link to your main donation form (or make a Facebook-specific donation form), so that supporters who find you on Facebook can easily find your donation page and make a gift.
First, link to your donation form in a post asking your page visitors to help.
Then, publish that post onto your page’s timeline with the link to your donation page in the post by clicking the Post button.
When your post is published, look in the upper right-hand corner of the post and click the image of the three dots to open the Edit Post Menu. Then, select Pin to top of Page.
Your post will now remain at the top of your Facebook Page. You can tell which posts are pinned by looking for the Pinned post label at the top of the screen.
To remove a post from the top of your page, click the icon of three dots and select Unpin from top of Page. This will not delete your post, but it will now move down your timeline as new posts are created.
You can only pin one post to the top of your page at a time. If you pin a new post, the old post will move down your timeline.
