With Qgiv's Text Fundraising tools, your donors can text an organization-specific keyword to your text-to-donate number in order to give a donation of any amount. This article will show you the process of using the text-to-donate feature so you can see what your donors see when they're using these tools.

Checking Your Text-to-Donate Number
You can view the text-to-donate number to which your donors should send keywords in a couple of places. If you already created a text-to-donate campaign, first click Text-to-Donate in your form-level control panel.
Next, click Edit next one of your text campaigns.
You'll see your text-to-donate number listed with the campaign keyword as shown below:
You can also view your text-to-donate number by heading to the General Form Settings in your form-level control panel. Then, scroll down to the Text-to-Donate Settings section to view your text-to-donate number.
Please note:
- In most cases, the text-to-donate number will be 50155.
- If you're a former Connect2Give customer, your text-to-donate number may differ.
What Donors See When They Donate
Let's take a look at what your donors see when they make a donation via text-to-donate!
First, your donor texts a keyword (or a keyword and a donation amount) to your nonprofit's text-to-donate number.
Please note: In order to specify a donation amount when creating a pledge, donors must type your organization's keyword, then a space, and then the amount.
In the example below, the keyword is “lasbark” and the donation amount is $25.
Donors will see two messages when they first text your campaign. The first message lets them know they’ve opted in to receive messages from your organization. The second message will display whatever you’ve configured as the Complete Your Gift Message for the campaign.
If you have the Require an amount when texting this campaign option toggled on for the campaign associated with the keyword and the donor does not send an amount, they'll receive a text asking them to send a donation amount before the donation link is sent.
If you don't have this option toggled on and a donor sends the keyword without an amount, they'll be sent a link to the form with no pre-selected donation amount displayed. They'll need to either select a donation amount or enter how much they'd like to give.
When the donor taps the link in the text message, they'll be taken to a simple version of your form that reflects the personal information collection settings you configured in the System Fields area. If they sent a donation amount, that donation amount will be displayed, but donors can change the amount by tapping Edit Amount.
Once the donor enters payment information, they'll tap the Give button at the bottom of the screen.
They'll then land on a transaction receipt showing the details of their donation.
They'll also receive whatever after-donation message you entered.
Reminder Messages
If your donor can't complete their gift right away, a pledge will be created for them. If you set up Reminder Messages, your donor will receive these automated messages when they're scheduled to be sent. The process for completing their pledge is identical to the process outlined above.
