If you'd like to transfer recurring donor data from another platform to Qgiv, we can do that for you!
This service is available to all customers who wish to migrate at least 25 recurring donors to Qgiv, and we do need, at minimum, two weeks' notice prior to the date needed for the transfer.
Here's how to get started:
1. Contact your current provider to be sure of any processes they may have in place.
We always recommend our clients confirm the following with their current processor:
- Is it possible to transfer donor data?
- Does your current processor require anything from your organization to make the transfer?
- Is there a cost associated on their end?
- What do they need from Qgiv to complete the transfer?
2. Let us know you'd like to set up a transfer by emailing support@qgiv.com or using the I Need Help link at the top of the page.
3. Once your current processor has confirmed that a transfer is possible, the Qgiv team will need:
- A technical contact from your current processor (the holder of the actual card data) that our team can work with directly for the switch.
- The Qgiv form you'd like the donations to be imported to.
- If you have custom fields on your donation form, we’ll want to create them on the Qgiv side before we transfer the data.
- The number of records we should expect.
- A time frame for which you’d like Qgiv to take over processing. We will confirm available date options once we’ve received and reviewed the data file from your current processor (see below).
- Once we’ve confirmed the start date, you can work with your current provider to determine a definitive STOP date on which they’ll no longer process.
4. Once we have all that, we can coordinate with your current processor to receive the recurring data file via SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol).
Please do not send this file to us via email.
If you have any questions about what we need or how to get the data to Qgiv, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
