This year, the team launched some highly anticipated updates to the Qgiv by Bloomerang platform to keep you ahead of technology trends and evolving donor expectations. To help make your important work a bit easier, here are the major highlights from 2024!

Donation Forms 💲

The Recurring Summary page for recurring donors got a refresh to be more visually aligned with donation forms. You can also edit the page’s content in Form Builder.
We love to delight your donors! When donors select the Ongoing tab on your donation forms, an optional heart animation will appear to help communicate the impact of a recurring gift ❤
To ensure the Text-to-Donate platform continues to meet compliance requirements, we’ve cleaned up the list of available text commands. Check out the Glossary of Text Commands to learn more!

Events 🎟

If you’ve enabled Table Management for standard events or auctions, you can now update your seating style without removing assigned seats. You can also edit Visual Seating Charts after seats have been assigned.
Speaking of Table Management, you can now print a list of your seat assignments directly from the control panel.
The Attendee Import Tool for standard events is available so you can add attendees to your events in bulk!
If you’re requesting attendee details for standard events, you can hide the Phone and Email fields for additional guests.
Checking in attendees is now easier than ever with a simple “Check In” link on each event’s Attendees page.

Enhanced Donations

The Peer-to-Peer Donations Beta is here! 🎉 The new donation forms have a ton of great features, including:

Donation amount images
An updated donation recipient interface with an animated impact thermometer
Recurring upgrade prompts to encourage ongoing gifts
New custom field options that support conditional logic
An enhanced text-to-donate system
Abandoned gift reminders
Express Donate, Smart Amounts, Donor Accounts, and other year-round donation form features you love

Ease of Management

With Scannable QR Tickets for peer-to-peer events, you can issue each participant a unique QR code when they register to make event check-in a breeze!
Peer-to-peer fundraisers who have participated in a past campaign can see a list of their past donors in the Fundraising Dashboard. That way, they can easily reach out to ask for support again!
We’ve added support for peer-to-peer in the Mobile Virtual Terminal app to make it easy to manage your campaigns and events onsite.

Auctions ✋

Flexible Settings

Auction Ticket Emails now support custom content, so you can include additional info to send alongside the default content.
The Auction Item Import now supports emojis in item descriptions 🎉

Evolving Navigation

You can now create auction item tags from within the Add New Item interface and add items directly to your auction tags when creating new tags.
We’ve added a few usability improvements to make working in the Virtual Terminal a bit easier.

Enhanced Bidder Notifications

You can now add info tags to notifications that will personalize information to recipients (such as their names) and segment notifications for sending to specific groups of recipients.
You can now send a new auction notification directly to a single attendee from within the Auction Virtual Terminal.
And you can bulk send auction notifications from the Attendees tab and the Checkout tab in the Virtual Terminal.

Ease of Management

Auctions have a new check-in interface to make sure you have all the attendee details you need.
You can resend auction ticket emails and texts to attendees in bulk.
The process for entering an auction in the Givi app has been updated to reduce duplicate auction registrations and to streamline the Join/Find Event interface.
You can unassign bidder numbers from attendees with no bidding activity. You can also unassign numbers one at a time or in bulk.
Speaking of bidder numbers, you can manually set them during check-in in the Virtual Terminal.
You can split bidders' payments between multiple payment methods during checkout in the Virtual Terminal.
And you can mark paid items as fulfilled at the same time as payment is processed.
Auction users can bulk assign attendee seats in the Virtual Terminal.
You can add items to an attendee's cart from the Attendee Details page.

Enhanced Reporting

When creating a custom Auction Inventory report, you can add fields for Procurement Cost, Raised, and Raised Minus Procurement Cost.
The Auction Purchased Items custom report now includes columns for Attendee Table, Seat, and Section.

Reporting & Notifications 📊

Giving Essentials and Giving+ users can apply a Trailing 12 Months view to the Contributions by Date and One-Time vs Recurring Contributions data insights in the organization-level dashboard.

UI Improvements 🌟

We’ve released a fresh new design for organization-level navigation.
The service integrations interface has gotten a glow-up to keep things more streamlined! Plus, adding and managing optional mappings is now much easier!

Enhanced Bloomerang Integration

In case you missed it, Qgiv joined the Bloomerang family this year, and we’ve been working hard to beef up the Qgiv to Bloomerang integration. New enhancements this year include:

Improved refund handling
Recurring gift support
The ability to sync $0 transactions as “interactions”
Individual and Company Constituent matching logic options
Matching logic settings in their own section for a more organized interface

Quality-of-Life Improvements

Raiser’s Edge NXT users! In your integration settings, you’ll now see an option to customize address, phone, and email types for individual and company donors.
Qgiv constituent IDs for Raiser’s Edge NXT are now shorter and set on the Raiser’s Edge side.
The DonorPerfect integration can now match company donations on Company Name alone if the company constituent is missing both an email and a zip code.
When you export eCheck transactions, they’ll now appear in DonorPerfect as “Bank ACH” to distinguish them from offline checks.
The Virtuous integration can now map to Gender, Birth Day, Birth Month, and Birth Year using Custom Mappings.
Auction and standard event packages can now be mapped to Premiums in Virtuous, as long as they have a non-zero Fair Market Value.

New Features

We’ve launched a brand new Little Green Light integration!
All service integrations now include a “Mappings Backup” option so you can safeguard your optional mappings by downloading them to a CSV file.
