A QR code can be an easy way to share your campaign and event URLs in emails, mailers, and on your website and social media pages. While there’s not a way to create a QR code directly in the Qgiv system, this article will share a free and simple way to create them in a browser.

Creating a Free Code in a Browser
In the Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge browser, navigate to the specific URL you’d like to create a QR code for.
Please note: Each QR code directs to a single URL, so make sure you choose the specific link you want your supporters to visit (e.g., your event registration page or your donation form).
Right-click in an open space on the page and then select Create QR Code for this page from the menu.
The browser will generate a QR code, which you can then Copy or Download for use wherever you need it.
Please note: Google Chrome will create a QR code with a dinosaur image in the middle. The dinosaur is purely aesthetic and won’t affect the code’s functionality.
Creating QR Codes for Custom Designs in Canva
If you have a free or paid Canva account, you can generate QR codes within the Canva Editor and add them directly to your designs. That way, you can create custom images that incorporate the QR code.
To generate QR codes in Canva, navigate to Canva Apps and then search for QR code.
There are a few QR generators listed in the Canva App Library. We recommend the one developed by Canva (rather than a third party).
Once you select the app, you’ll be able to generate QR codes from within the Editor. Just enter the URL you want to use, and Canva will generate the code for you.
