The Qgiv Virtual Terminal app makes it easy to manage and accept in-person payments, registrations, and other forms of payment for your auctions, peer-to-peer events, standard Qgiv events, or donations from your mobile devices.
This article will focus on peer-to-peer campaigns.

You can download the app from the App Store on both Apple and Android devices.
When you search for "Qgiv" in the app store, you may notice two apps. Givi is our donor-facing app for donations and auctions. For peer-to-peer management, use the app with a white background titled Qgiv Virtual Terminal.

What can I do in the app?
You can log in to the Virtual Terminal app with your Qgiv credentials or assign temporary access codes so volunteers can log in.
While logged in, you can register peer-to-peer participants through the app and make transactions on behalf of donors.
Donations and registrations can be paid for by credit card or eCheck. We also support cash and check for offline transactions. This app supports card readers for credit card payments.
If you'd like to use a card reader, you can purchase one from us. We offer card readers that connect via Bluetooth, Lightning, or USB-C for $139 each. Just send an email to support@qgiv.com to request one!
Here’s how you can start managing your peer-to-peer event via the Mobile VT app.
After downloading the app, log in using your Qgiv credentials.
If you're logging in using a temporary access key, tap Access Key and enter the key you generated in your control panel. You can read about how to create a temporary login code that's good for one login session here.
Once you're logged in, you'll land on a screen asking you to choose a form. Select your P2P form.
The Mobile Virtual Terminal Menu
Tapping the three lines in the top left corner of the dashboard opens the Mobile Virtual Terminal menu for your peer-to-peer form.
From here, you can navigate to:

The More option is where you can connect a card reader and access FAQs about the app. You can also review the app's licensing and privacy policy or log out.
Taking Peer-to-Peer Donations
The first menu option takes you to the Payments (iOS) or Donations (Android) screen. This is where Mobile VT users can accept and document donations from peer-to-peer donors.
Users can choose one of the preconfigured donation amounts or enter a custom amount on this screen. Once the desired donation amount is entered, enter the donor’s Contact Information below the payment amount section.
Next, in the Payment Details area, choose where to direct the donor’s support. Donations can be credited to the campaign as a whole, to an individual participant, or to a team.
This is also where the donor can enter an optional message, which will display publicly on your peer-to-peer site.
Android users will find this section—labeled “Donation Details”—further down the page, just before Privacy Options.
Then, complete any Custom Fields, if present. Next, scroll down to the Additional Details section to specify a dedication or restriction or opt the donor into communications from your organization.
Finally, you can configure the Privacy Options for the donation. These settings determine what donor information is visible on your public-facing peer-to-peer site.
Then tap Continue.
Choose whether the donor wants to use GiftAssist to help offset processing fees, and then enter the donor’s payment information. General donations can be made via credit card, eCheck, check, or cash.
You can capture the donor’s card information using a card reader or by manually entering their credit card information.
If you haven’t already connected your card reader to Mobile VT, tap Add Card Reader to connect your device. To enter the card information manually, tap the Enter Card Manually button and complete the fields. To learn more about card readers and pricing, check out this article!
Once you’ve entered the card number and expiration date, tap Continue to complete the payment. A Thank You screen will appear with the transaction details. From this screen, you can enter the donor’s email address and send the donation receipt to them.
Tapping New Payment returns you to the first step in the Payments process to enter another donation.
Registering Peer-to-Peer Participants
The next menu item is Registration. On the Registration Details screen, you’ll see the dates of your event, as well as sections to choose a Classification, Category, and Registration Type. You can also link the new registration to an existing Parent Registration, if applicable.
If you’ve enabled Classifications for your event, tapping Classifications will display the available options.
Next, tap Category to select the participant’s registration package.
Tapping Registration Type displays options for Individual, Non-Fundraising Participant, Create Team, and/or Join Team, depending on how you’ve configured your Registration Settings.
Selecting Individual will display a field to specify a Fundraising Goal.
Selecting Create Team will display the individual Fundraising Goal field and additional fields to specify a Team Name and Team Fundraising Goal.
Selecting Join Team displays a new menu item where you can search for an existing team to add the new participant to.
If Optional Donations are enabled for the event, you’ll see an area to enter one in the next step.
In the next step, you'll enter the participant’s Contact Information.
If you have a required Waiver for the event, it will appear at the bottom of this screen.
If you have any Custom Fields, these will appear next.
The last step is taking payment for registration.
Like the Payments menu, participants can choose to pay by credit card, eCheck, check, or cash. Select the payment method they’d like to use first. For credit card and eCheck transactions, registrants can opt in to GiftAssist to offset processing fees.
If you’ve enabled promo codes for the campaign, you can tap the Promo Codes area to add any applicable codes.
Enter the payment method for registration.
Tap Continue to complete the transaction.
On the confirmation screen you can enter any Transaction Notes for the registration. To enter the next event registration, tap New Registration.
Managing Peer-to-Peer Participants
Once you have some participants registered for your campaign, you can manage them on the Participants page.
Here, you’ll find a list of your registered participants.
Use the search bar to find specific participants. If you’ve enabled Scannable QR Tickets, you can tap the QR code icon to scan participant’s QR codes to locate them in the list.
If you’re hosting an in-person event and would like to keep track of which participants have checked in, tap Check In next to the name of each participant you’d like to check in.
