Please note: The Canva method described in the article is not included in this video. If you have a Canva account, we recommend following the article's instructions for the simplest method.
Getting Started
To get started, you’ll need a Canva account. A basic Canva Free account will work fine.
Pro tip: You don’t need Canva Pro to follow the steps in this article, but Canva offers nonprofits free access to Canva Pro through this page: https://www.canva.com/canva-for-nonprofits/.
Once you’ve logged into your Canva account, click Upload on the homepage.
Then, click Upload files to upload your rectangular logo.
Editing Your Logo in Canva
Once you’ve uploaded your logo, select Use in a new design.
Use the search bar to search for “Instagram” and then select Instagram Post (Square).
Your logo will appear in the editor with a square background. If you need some additional padding around the image, you can resize the logo within the frame by clicking on it and then dragging the corner to adjust the size.
Saving Your Image and Adding It to Your Campaign
To save your image, click Share and then click Download.
You can select your File type (Canva recommends PNG) and adjust the size of the file if you need to. Then, click Download to save the square logo to your computer.
Open Campaign Builder for your peer-to-peer form, and upload your edited logo into the Avatar image section. When you’re satisfied with the look of your logo, click I’m Done Editing to set the image as your Avatar.
