Linking one-time transactions allows you to associate a one-time donation with a donor who may not have had a donor account at the time they made the donation, or if they weren't logged in to their donor account.

PLEASE NOTE: Organization-level navigation was updated in July 2024, so the process for navigating the control panel will look a little different than what's described in this video. Check out the images in the article for instructions on navigating the new design.
To link a one-time transaction, you’ll need to access the Donor Accounts area of your organization’s control panel, which can be reached by clicking Donors within the Reporting menu.
In the Donors table, click any item in the Transactions column next to the name of the donor to whom you’d like to link the donation.
On the resulting screen, click the Transaction History tab.
Click the gray Link One-Time Transactions button.
A search tool will appear, which you can use to find a transaction by ID, donor name, or email address.
When you’ve selected a donation (or multiple donations) to link, click the Link Transaction button, which will update according to how many transactions you have selected.
The payment will now appear in the Transaction History table and is accessible to your donor via their donor account. If you’d like to unlink a transaction, click Unlink next to the transaction in the table.
The payment will no longer be linked to the donor and won’t appear in the table.
