In the Notifications area, you can manage who receives certain notifications. You’ll find System, Qgiv, peer-to-peer, and auction notifications, depending on the services you’re using.

Getting Started
The Notifications area is located within the My Information menu in your left-hand navgation.
When you click the Notifications item in your control panel, you’ll see two tabs. You’ll land in the Recipients area.
To add a new recipient, click Add a Recipient.
A window containing two tabs will appear.
You can Select a User, which will pull a list from your Users section. You can also Add a Recipient, which allows you to enter emails for people not listed as users in your system.
In the Select a User tab, you’re simply choosing a user from the drop-down menu and clicking Add.
To add a new recipient, click the Add a Recipient tab and enter the required information. Once you click Add, they’ll appear in the main listing of recipients.
Adding a recipient makes them accessible for management so you can assign the appropriate notifications. Just adding them without managing them won’t trigger any notifications.
In your main listing of recipients, you’ll see a toggle that can be used to make a recipient active or inactive.
If a recipient is inactive, they won’t receive any notifications, even if they’re signed up for them.
You can also Manage or Remove a recipient.
To configure a recipient’s notification settings, click Manage. First, you’ll see the Search Notifications tool. If you’d like to locate a certain type of notification, type in a keyword here. For example, you could type in “donation” to get a list of all notifications related to donations.
If you’d like to select a certain set of notifications, such as only Qgiv, you can use the Notification Type dropdown menu.
This will focus in on one type of notification. If you select Qgiv notifications from the drop-down, System and peer-to-peer notifications won’t display. If you select Qgiv or Peer-to-Peer from the drop-down, a field will appear in which you can filter by form. If you click in the Form field, a drop-down containing all relevant forms will appear for you to choose one or more.
Below the search and filtering tools, you’ll see three areas. Each area is dedicated to one type of notification. System Notifications are first, then Givi (is applicable), then Qgiv, followed by Peer-to-Peer.
Please note: All users will see System Notifications. Whether or not you see Auction and/or Peer-to-Peer depends on which products you’re using.
System Notifications
This table contains a list of all notifications that are able to be sent by the system.
You can click the checkbox next to each individual notification you’d like the recipient to get, or you can use the Select All checkbox at the top of the table to select all notifications in the list.
If you’d like to deselect the entire list after using the select all option, click the Undo Selection button.
Givi Notifications
If you have a Givi form associated with your account, you'll see the Givi Form Notifications section.
To the right of certain notifications, you’ll see a View Settings option.
This option allows you to configure more granular notification options. If a notification has been configured to any settings aside from the default, a tool tip will appear (when you hover over it) stating that the notification has been customized.
When you click View Settings next to Donation Received, you'll see that you can choose to receive notifications when someone makes a donation to one, some, or all of your Givi restrictions.
Qgiv Notifications
This table lists all of your individual forms. You can use the arrow next to the name of each form to expand or collapse the list of notifications for that form. You can also expand or collapse all forms by using the options in the upper right-hand corner of the table.

The Select All checkbox at the top of the table will select all notifications across all forms.
If you change your mind about selecting all forms, just click Undo Selection.
To select a consecutive group of notifications, click the first checkbox, press and hold down the Shift key, and then click the last box.
The Donation Received notification can be configured to send when someone makes a donation to one or more restrictions, one or more dedications, or any time a donation is made. When you click View Settings, you can choose to have the notification sent after All Donations, or click the Restrictions or Dedications icons to narrow your focus.
You’ll be presented with a clickable field if you have a large number of restrictions.
Clicking the field results in a dropdown menu populated with a list of all restrictions. You can choose as many as you’d like. Dedications function in the same manner.
If you have a relatively small number of restrictions and/or dedications, you’ll see buttons. You can select one, multiple, or use the All Restrictions or All Dedications button.
The Donation Received notification will also distinguish between individual and company donations by including a heading that reads, "Personal Information" for individual donations or "Company Information" for company donations.
Similarly, the Donation Dedication notification can be configured to send based on restriction type, dedication type, or any time a donation is made with a dedication.
You can configure the Event Registration Completed notification to send to a certain recipient when someone registers for one, multiple, or all events. In the View Settings area, if you have a large number of events, you’ll see a field in which you’ll click to select the events you’d like the notification to be sent for.
Clicking the field results in a dropdown menu populated with a list of all of your events. You can select as many as you’d like.
If you have a relatively small number of events, you’ll see buttons.
You can select one, multiple, or use the All Events/Packages button.
If you don’t select all events, you can select which packages you’d like to receive notifications for within each event.
Pro tip: Choosing All for the more granular notification options will send notifications for any future additions you make to that particular item. For example, if you select All Events/Packages on a form, any event or package you create in the future on that form will automatically trigger that notification.
Please note: The Recurring Payment Ending Soon notification is sent out 30 days before the final bill date of a recurring payment.
Peer-to-Peer Notifications
In this table, you’ll see all of your peer-to-peer events. You can expand or collapse a section by using the arrow next to an event name.
Again, you’ll see the View Settings button next to certain notifications.

To specify classifications, click Classifications and choose one, multiple, or All Classifications.

The Donation Dedication notification can be configured to send based on restriction type, dedication type, or any time a donation is made with a dedication.
The Registration Completed notification can be configured to send when someone registers for a certain category or classification.
To specify categories, click Categories and choose one, multiple, or All Categories.
To specify classifications, click Classifications and choose one, multiple, or All Classifications.
To configure the settings for Event Goal Progress notifications, click View Settings and choose one, multiple, or All Percentages. This notification will send whenever your fundraising has reached certain milestones.
Your Store Purchase notifications can be configured to send when someone makes a purchase from a certain product category. To specify product categories, click View Settings and choose one, multiple, or All Product Categories.
The Classification Registration Limit Reached notification will be sent whenever a classification becomes full according to the maximum number of participants you entered. Click View Settings and choose one, multiple, or All Classifications.
The New Recurring Payment notification alerts the user when a new recurring donation is made using the selected form.
The Recurring Payment Method Expiring notification alerts users of the upcoming expiration of the payment method of a recurring donation made on the selected form.
The Recurring Error notification alerts recipients if a recurring donation made on this form is declined or if the system encounters a processing error.
The Recurring Payment Ending Soon notification alerts users when the system is scheduled to bill the final occurrence of a recurring donation that was made on the selected form.
The Recurring Payment Cancelled notification alerts users when a donor cancels the recurring gift made on the selected form.
The Team Created notification alerts users when a new team is created for a peer-to-peer fundraising event.
Once you’ve configured notification settings for a recipient, click Save Settings. You can also choose to Cancel your actions.
When you’ve saved your settings for a recipient, you’ll be taken back to the main recipients listing. You can activate/deactivate, manage, or remove a recipient at any time.
Auction Notifications
In this table, you’ll see all of your auction events. You can expand or collapse a section by using the arrow next to an event name.
Again, you’ll see the View Settings button next to certain notifications.
The Auction Registration Completed notification can be configured to send when someone registers for a certain auction package.
The Donation Dedication notification can be configured to send based on restriction type, dedication type, or any time a donation is made with a dedication.
The Auction Participant Checkout notification can be configured to send when someone checks out from a certain item category.
Unassigned Notifications
Along the top of the main recipients listing, you may see a gray bar containing a message about certain notifications being unassigned. These notifications won’t be sent to anyone until you assign them to one or more recipients. To view unassigned notifications, click add recipients for these notifications.
Please note: It’s not a requirement to assign all notifications.
You’ll be taken to a list of unassigned notifications, broken down by type and/or form.
When you select one or more notifications to assign, the Add Recipient to Selection button will become clickable.
Clicking the button brings up a window where you can add a new recipient or select from recipients who are already in the system.
If you choose to Select a Recipient, click in the Choose Recipients field to display a list of those already in your system. You may choose one or more to receive the notification(s) with which you’re working. Once you’ve selected your recipients, click Add.
If you choose to Add a Recipient, you’ll need to enter their email address. You may also add their first and last name, if desired. Click Add when you’ve entered the required information.
Once you click Add, the recipient will appear in your main recipients listing and will be assigned the notification(s) you just configured.
Change History
To view a table detailing all changes made to notification settings, click the Change History tab above the main recipients listing.
The table displays completed actions such as adding, removing, enabling, or disabling recipients.
Above the change table, you’ll also see a search tool which allows you to easily locate changes within the table. If you’re searching for a change involving a particular recipient, just type their name in the search bar to narrow your focus.
The table is for informational purposes only. No action can be taken by clicking items within the table.
