Use this section of your peer-to-peer control panel to create Categories for the items in your store. If you don't need to categorize the products in your store, you can skip this section - it's totally optional.
Please note: You'll notice a default category named Event Gear. This is because at least one catch-all category is a necessary part of the store configuration. You may change the name by clicking Edit or leave it as-is.
Once you've navigated to the Categories area of the Store section of your control panel, you can click Add Category.
Input a Category Name that accurately describes the items in your category.
If applicable, use the toggle to make the category private. Private categories can only be seen from a unique Category URL generated by the system and can't be viewed in your public-facing storefront.
Once you’ve created a category, you can assign products to it by clicking Assign Products.
Please note: If you're creating your Categories first, this step is not necessary but may be helpful later if you'd like to assign multiple products to a category at one time. Keep in mind you can only assign a product to one category!
Once you click Assign Products, you'll see boxes for each product you've added; the green check mark in the bottom right means it's already part of this category.
For any product you'd like to move to that category, you'd simply click on the item and you'll see the green check mark. Once you've assigned all of your products to the category, click Save Category.
If you’d like to link directly to a specific category (most helpful for private categories), you can click on the Copy Category URL button to copy the URL to your clipboard. You may then paste it in your desired location.
In the main listing of store Categories, you'll see Edit and Delete buttons that can be used at any time to update details or delete the category altogether. You can see how many products you’ve assigned to each category in the Inventory column. Categories can be reordered by dragging and dropping within the list to the desired order.
