To watch an overview video on using Campaign Builder, click below:
Please note: This video was produced before recent updates to language across the peer-to-peer platform. Though some wording in the video is different, the functionality remains the same.
To access the Campaign Builder, click the orange button at the top right of your peer-to-peer form's control panel.
The Campaign Builder opens by default to your Home Page.
You can choose other pages by clicking on the drop-down menu at the top right of the screen, located in the Campaign Builder toolbox.
The navigation, banner image, campaign avatar, footer, and primary color scheme will be constant throughout all of the site pages. Once you make those changes on the Home Page, they’ll be carried throughout all of the other applicable pages automatically.

Navigation
By default, your site will have a horizontal navigation bar. If you intend to have a larger list of navigation items, or just prefer the look, you may want to change to a vertical navigation panel. The vertical navigation will be at the top left of your event page.
This can be done in the Theme tab of your Campaign Builder toolbox. In the Theme Layout section, you’ll see both options listed.
You may also click the Plus Sign icon to add an additional navigation item.
In either horizontal or vertical format, you may hover over any existing navigation items to make an edit. Once you click Edit, you can also delete the item by using the trash can icon.
If you're adding an item, you’ll be prompted for the Link Label and to indicate to where you’d like the new navigation item linked. If you choose Site Page, you’ll see a list of default pages.
If you choose Custom URL, you’ll have a box to type in the URL where you’d like to link the navigation item. This allows you to link to external event resources, if necessary.
Click Add Link once you've configured your new navigation item.
Once you start making changes, you'll see the Save Page button in your Campaign Builder toolbox become animated to remind you that there are unsaved changes. It’s best to click that often to be sure you’re not losing any changes.
Header, Footer, and Campaign Avatar
Next, let’s take a look at your header and footer configuration options. For the banner image up top you’ll want to design or choose an image that is at least 1200 by 465 pixels. Click on the Change Banner Image button to browse your files for an applicable image.
Once you choose an image and it has been uploaded, you can drag the image to adjust its positioning or zoom in or out depending on the image size. When you’re happy with your image, click the I’m Done Editing button.
You’ll notice the gear icon is visible in the header area and will control if the campaign avatar and information are visible in the header, as well as control if a link to a participant's/team's classification is visible on fundraising pages. You can also change the text in the search bar and on the registration button.
Next, you’ll want to hover over the Your Logo circle on the bottom left of your banner.
From there, you’ll click to browse for a smaller avatar image you'd like to use. A logo will work great here!
Now let’s scroll down to the footer. A footer image is optional but can be uploaded the same way we just uploaded the header image. The recommended width of your footer image is 1200 pixels.
You’ll notice the gear icon is visible in the footer area and will control if the donate and register buttons are visible in the footer, what their labels are, and if you’d like the banner positioned at the top, center, or bottom of your footer image.
If you’d prefer to use custom HTML to build out your header or footer images, you have that option in both of those sections by clicking on the icon to the right of Change Banner Image buttons.
Main Content Area
The content area comes pre-populated with widgets we think might make the most sense for your campaign. However, depending on your campaign, you may want to add or delete some of the default options.
What are widgets? They are the elements we provide that can be combined to create content for your event pages. Examples: Thermometers, Leaderboards, Custom Content, X Feeds, etc. |
Clicking on the gear icon on any widget will display its configuration options. These will be different for each widget depending on its role within the campaign. Clicking on the trash can icon will delete the widget from the page.
By hovering over the top of a widget, you can click to drag and drop it to an alternate location within the page.
Please note: When customizing text on the form, you may see “Suggested Tags” indicated. Suggested tags reflect best practices, and we recommend you use them. Suggested tags can be removed if you don’t want to include the information they generate, but they cannot be replaced with different tags.
Campaign Builder Toolbox - Widgets Tab
All available widgets are located in the Campaign Builder toolbox in the Widgets tab.
Widgets can be used multiple times with different configurations by simply dragging and dropping them from the Campaign Builder toolbox into your content area. Also provided to you is a Search Widgets box that allows you to quickly find what you're looking for.

Campaign Builder Toolbox - Theme Tab
This section allows you to make some event-wide theme settings. If you have a background image you’d like to use, you can upload and position it in the Background Options section.
Configuring the Background and Primary Color for your event is next. Specific colors can be entered or you can use the color picker to choose one.
You can change where your navigation appears, as well. You can have it along the top of your screen by choosing Standard, or you can have it vertically along the left side of your screen by choosing Alternate.
If you’d like to change the font throughout the site, choose one of the options in the Font drop-down list. You may also change the Font Size if necessary.
Next up is the Individual Content Styles area. Here you’re able to override the defaults for certain areas of your site.
If you choose something in the drop-down menu and then hover over the What is this? text, the system will highlight what you’ll be changing.
Use the Font Size, Background Color, and Text Color areas in this section to make the changes you’d like to see. This override is not on a per page basis – the area or widget will be overridden throughout the entire site on all pages. Again, don’t forget to click the Save Page button in the Campaign Builder toolbox.
The configuration of page titles, meta tags, or custom CSS is available in the Advanced Page Settings tab in your Campaign Builder toolbox.
Adding Pages
If you need to add an additional page to your site, you can do so by clicking the Add Page button in the Campaign Builder toolbox.
You’ll see a pop-up asking for a Page Title and giving you layout options. Once you choose a layout, click the Insert Layout button at the bottom.
This new page is now considered a site page and can be edited the same way all of the other pages can be configured. Be sure you toggle on the Published option once you’re ready for that page to be accessible.
Campaign Builder Toolbox Placement
You have the ability to move your Campaign Builder toolbox to the bottom or left side of your screen if either of those placements work better for you than the default of a right-aligned toolbox. This can be done using the icons at the top of the toolbox.
Exiting Campaign Builder
If at any time you want to get back to the control panel, click the black bar across the top that says Exit Campaign Builder.
Be sure all of your changes have been saved in order for this option to be available, otherwise you’ll see a reminder that you must save or undo changes to exit.
