With restrictions, donors can direct their donation to specific campaigns or funds. Adding and maintaining restrictions within your peer-to-peer event can all be done from the Restrictions area of your peer-to-peer control panel within Donation Setup.
To add a restriction, click on Add New Restriction.
First, fill out the Name for your restriction. The restriction name is what your donors will see in the restriction drop-down menu during the donation process.
You may also enter a restriction Description to help explain each restriction to your donors.
You’ll also see an area to configure Display Options. Here, you can decide whether you want the restriction to display on the Desktop version of your form, the Mobile version of your form, and/or in the Virtual Terminal.
Once you've configured the restriction, click the Add New Restriction button.
Keep in mind that the first restriction in your list of restrictions will be preselected if there is no choice made during the donation process. Giving donors a "Where the Need is Greatest" or "General Fund" option as the default is always a good idea when applicable.
In the main listing of restrictions, you'll see Edit and Delete buttons that can be used at any time to update details or delete the restriction altogether. They can be reordered by dragging and dropping within the list to the desired order. You can also easily toggle restrictions on and off during the campaign, if necessary.
