Please note: Attached to this article, you'll find a handy cheat sheet for the peer-to-peer Donors report! It contains all filters, web-based columns, and standard download columns.
The Donors area in the Constituents section displays a complete list of all online and offline donations.

The information displayed in the Donors table for each donor includes their Transaction ID, the donor’s Name, the Date which the donation was entered, the Amount of the donation, if GiftAssist was used, information regarding which person/team/event the money was Donated To, Classification (if applicable), and the Status of the donation.
You have the ability to Edit, Verify, Unverify, or Delete donations in the table, depending on the donation type and status.
After clicking Edit, you'll have the opportunity to edit the transaction details, including contact information, permissions, and/or donation details.
The most popular use of editing a donation is to update where the donation was directed. If you need to change the entity to which a donor contributed, scroll down to the Donation Details section, and then click the red change option next to Credit to.
If you have donations to classifications enabled, you'll see an additional drop-down for that.
Then use the drop-down menu to choose Campaign, Team, or Participant. If you choose Team or Participant, you'll then see a Search box allowing you to search for the participant or team to which the donation should be directed.
If you need to change the donation message a donor entered during the donation process, you can also do that in the Donation Details section.
Be sure to click the Save Donation button at the bottom of the donor screen.
You'll see some additional options along the right side of the Donor page within the Edit area of a donor record.
View Transaction Details will direct you to the transaction details page within your org-level reporting area. You may also resend the donor email receipt by clicking the Resend Receipt text.
The transaction details page displays the donor's donation and contact information. If the transaction included a donation message, that message will appear with the rest of the transaction details at the top of the page.
The donor's personal and billing information is listed below the transaction details. You can edit the donor's Personal Information as well as some of the Billed Transaction Details. The donor's Billing Information cannot be changed from the Transaction Details page.
The Donor Changes tab displays a feed showing a real-time change log so you can track who is making changes and what changes are being made. All edits to a donation are recorded here.
Here are some additional options you may see in the Donors table if you have offline donations:
- Verify: You'll see this as an option in the donor table for any donation with the status of Unverified.
Donations will be unverified if they're entered in by your participants in their fundraising dashboards. Matching donations will also be marked as unverified. Offline donations are something you have the ability to enable or disable, so this may not be relevant for everyone. The Verify option is generally used as a reconciliation tool so that as you receive cash and check gifts from your participants, you can mark them as verified in the Donors table. Once you click the link to Verify, you'll get a pop-up asking you to confirm.
- Unverify: This option will show up for any gift that has already been verified by you, or for any gift that was entered as a cash or check donation via the Virtual Terminal.
If you need to unverify a gift, simply click the Unverify link. You'll see a pop-up asking you to confirm; choose an option and you'll be all set.
- Delete: This option will only show up for an unverified donation. If a donation is unverified, you have the opportunity to remove it completely.
Once you remove the donation, you can't undo it. A pop-up will be displayed once you click Delete to ensure you really would like to remove the donation.
Back in the main Donors listing you'll see a Group Edit option for offline transactions. This is useful if you need to verify or unverify a large batch of offline transactions at one time. To do this, click the checkbox next to each offline transaction you want to verify or unverify and click the Group Edit button.
Once you click the Group Edit option you'll see a row at the top of the table, shaded yellow, with an Actions drop-down. Choose whether you’d like to Verify or Unverify the batch of transactions, then click Apply.
You can use the search function at the top of the page to locate a donor or group of donors in the donor table. There are a few search options you can use. First, you can use the simple Search Donors field if you're looking for a single donor. For more detailed search options, click the Advanced button.
You can choose a number of different Search Only options that allow you to enter a search term and then direct the system to ONLY search for your search term in that field. Your options are ID, Name, Email, Classification, and Credited To.
You'll also see the Reset Selection button that can be used to clear the options.
You can also choose from two Display options: Verified and Unverified.
After you’ve found the donor or group of donors you need, you can download a .CSV file of their information. Just click the Download icon at the top of the page.
If you click the Download button without searching for any one donor or group of donors, the .CSV will include information for all donors.
