The Welcome Quest is designed to help walk participants through the main components of the Fundraising Dashboard. It's a great way to gamify engagement and educate participants on how to be better fundraisers for your cause. As a bonus, participants will receive a badge upon completion.

Configuring the Welcome Quest
If enabled, participants will be prompted to begin the Welcome Quest as soon as registration is completed.
To configure the Welcome Quest for a peer-to-peer form, click Content in the form-level navigation, and then click Walkthroughs.
When you click Walkthroughs, you'll be taken to the Welcome Quest screen. Click Edit to view the individual steps included. You may manually exclude certain steps by using the toggles.
If you move a toggle to the off position, the Welcome Quest screen will update to show how many steps there are in the quest. Don’t forget to click Save after you make any changes!
Participant View
Let’s take a look at what participants will see while they are going through the Welcome Quest.
Once participants log in to their Fundraising Dashboard, they'll see the steps of the Welcome Quest displayed on their screen in two places.
The first place they'll be prompted to engage with the Welcome Quest is at the top of the screen.
Here they'll the percentage of the walkthrough that has been completed thus far and a Get Started button. When they click the button, additional prompts will appear to take them through the process.
They'll also see a progress bar displayed across the bottom of their screen, indicating the current and next step in the Welcome Quest. If participants click on the arrow at the end of the progress bar, it expands upward to display all steps in the quest. Plus, they’ll see they have the opportunity to earn a badge for completing their profile.
Welcome Quest Steps
Upload Your Avatar
When participants click on this task, a pop-up window appears to guide them through where and how to upload an image.
Once participants have uploaded an avatar and clicked I'm Done Editing, the progress bar will update showing the updated progress of their task completion and a prompt to take them to the next task. This will happen upon completion of each task.
Please note: Welcome Quest tasks do not need to be done in order.
Update Your Personal Page
When a participant clicks this task, they are taken to their personal fundraising page.
A pop-up window will appear and display simple instructions on how to use widgets. They may see a message saying they can drag and drop widgets, depending on how you configured widget settings on the Participant Fundraising Page in Event Builder. They’ll also be reminded to save their changes when they’re done editing.
Send a Fundraising Email
When a participant clicks this task, they'll be taken to the Share Event section of the fundraising dashboard. A pop-up window will display as shown below.
When the pop-up is closed, participants will begin the Send an Email flow.
In the first step, they'll decide whether to Email My Donors or Send a Custom Fundraising Email.
When they move to the second step of sending an email, they can choose a template you've created, add recipients or import mailing lists, choose when to send the email, and make any desired changes to the email content. Once they've saved a draft and/or sent a test, they can send it out to the recipients they entered.
Raise Your First Online Donation
This task will be auto-completed upon registration completion if a participant gives a donation during the registration process. If they don't, they'll receive the pop-up shown below when they click on this task.
This task will be counted as complete once they receive their first online donation—offline donations don't count towards this task.
Recruit a Team Member
This task will generate a pop-up letting participants know that once a new team member joins, the system will mark the task as completed. When a new team member joins, this task will be triggered to be completed for any team members that don't already have it completed.
This task will only be inserted into the Welcome Quest if the participant is part of a team.
Share on Facebook / X
When clicking on this task, participants will be redirected to the Share Event area of the fundraising dashboard.
They can then share links to their fundraising pages on Facebook or X.
Quest Completion
Once all of the Welcome Quest steps have been completed, participants will see a message at the bottom of their fundraising dashboard alerting them!
If they click View Badges from the above message or click on My Account, they'll be able to access their badges and see that they've earned the Profile Completed badge.
A System Email will also be sent, if activated, to notify participants that they’ve received a badge for completing their profile.
