Getting Started
To get started, navigate to the Dedications area in Donation Setup.
Creating a Dedication Type
In this area, you can add one or more dedication types. By default, the system will collect the name once you've added at least one type to your donation form. Just click Add New Dedication Type to get started.
Enter your dedication type text in the field shown below. Some examples include "In memory of," "In honor of," "In celebration of," etc.
You’ll also see an area to configure Display options. Here you can decide whether you want the dedication to display on the Desktop version of your form, the Mobile version of your form, and/or in the Virtual Terminal.
Click Add New Dedication Type when you’re done.
You can edit, delete, and reorder your dedication types in the main Dedications listing.
Dedication Settings
Next, you'll see a tab for dedication Settings.
On this tab, you can use the toggle to Enable Dedication Notification. This turns on a type of System Email, which will be sent to dedication recipients when a dedication is made.
In the Display Settings area, decide where on your donation form you’d like the dedications area to appear. Your options are on the Choose Gift step, the Donor Details step, or the Additional Details step.
Adding a Dedication After a Donation
If a donor didn't include a dedication during the donation process and later decides they'd like one added, you can do that by going to Reporting > Peer-to-Peer Fundraising Reports > Donations and clicking on the transaction ID for the donation.
Once there, click Edit in the Billed Transaction Details section.
From there, scroll down to the Donation Details section and select a dedication type from the drop-down. A text box will appear so you can enter the name of the dedicatee.
Please note: You can enable a Dedication Notification option in your Campaign Settings. This provides donors with the option to enter a dedication message and send it to an email recipient of their choosing.
