Moving a peer-to-peer donation from one form to another is simple! Currently, a donation can only be transferred if:
- It's a peer-to-peer donation made through the donation form or the Virtual Terminal, not an optional donation made during registration
-
It's a credit card or eCheck donation made online through the Virtual Terminal, not an offline transaction, such as a cash or check
- There are no refunds associated with the transaction

FAQs
Can I move a donation more than once?
No. A donation can only be moved from one form to another one time.
Does money get moved in this process?
No, we don't move any money when you switch a donation form from one form to another. The original transaction's merchant account and bank account will not change.
How does this affect integrations?
We'll only export the original transaction to your CRM. There is a custom mapping option for moved transaction IDs so you can still bring those across for tracking purposes.
How does this affect reporting?
The original transaction will no longer show up in most reports, dashboards, and thermometers, but it will still be used to determine bank deposits and fees. We added a Move To and Moved From option in the Transactions Report for your convenience.
Can I request additional functionality for this feature, like moving optional peer-to-peer donations or donations made on standard Qgiv donation forms?
Absolutely! We want to know what you think of the feature and what additional functionality you'd like to see. Send us an email at support@qgiv.com to let us know!
How to Move a Peer-to-Peer Donation from One Form to Another
To move a donation to another form, visit the transaction details of the donation you'd like to move. You'll see a Move Transaction button along the top if the donation is eligible.
When you click the Move Transaction button, a modal with a series of steps will appear to assist you with the move.
Select Event
Step One is the Select Event screen. In the New Event drop-down, choose the peer-to-peer event form to which you'd like to move the donation. Then click Next.
Map Form Settings
Step Two is where you'll Map Form Settings. First, choose an entity to which the donation should be made. You can choose Campaign, Team, or Participant.
If you choose Event, you can also choose a Classification for the donation. If you don't wish to assign a classification, choose No Mapping from the drop-down.
If you choose Team or Participant, you'll see a drop-down appear where you can search for and select the desired team or participant. If the team or participant is part of a classification, that classification will be automatically assigned.
Below the Donated To section, you'll see a Restriction section, if you've set up restrictions on the form to which you're moving the donation. If you'd like to associated the donation with a restriction, choose one from the drop-down. You can also select No Mapping if you don't want to map the donation to a restriction.
If you've set up dedications on the form, you'll also see a Dedication section, where you can apply a dedication to the donation.
Finally, you'll see a section for Additional Questions, if the new event has custom fields.
Review Details
When you click Next, you'll land on Step Three: Review Details. If everything looks correct, check the box stating you understand that a new transaction will be created with the details you specified. The original transaction will no longer show up in most reports, dashboards, and thermometers, but it will still be used to determine bank deposits and fees.
Viewing Transaction Details
When you click Submit, you'll be taken to the moved donation's new transaction details. You can click the View Original Transaction to see the original transaction's details if needed.
A transaction that has been moved will display the following in its transaction details:
Clicking View History for a moved transaction will scroll you down to the transaction history table where you can see when the move was made and which user made the move.
