Enabling QR Tickets
To turn on Scannable QR Tickets, first make sure you’ve enabled Giving Essentials for your organization. Check out this article to learn how you can add a package to your Qgiv plan.
With Giving Essentials enabled, navigate to your event forms.
Click Edit for the event you’re working with.
On the Details tab, scroll down to Event Settings and toggle on Enable Scannable QR Tickets.
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save Event.
What Tickets Look Like for Attendees
With QR Tickets enabled, each registrant for your event will receive a unique QR code after registration.
On the registration confirmation page, registrants will see a link to view their ticket.
Clicking View Ticket will open a PDF with the QR code that can be printed or scanned from their device.
Registrants will also receive a copy of the QR code in their email.
The QR code is in the body of the email. Registrants can also click View Ticket PDF in the email body to open a printable PDF version of the ticket and QR code.
Event attendees who purchase multiple tickets can use the View Tickets link to download PDF tickets to share with each of their guests.
If you've enabled Ticket Management in the Event Settings, ticket purchasers will see a link to Manage Ticket Details in their ticket email.
Clicking the link will open the Manage Your Tickets page.
From here, the ticket purchaser can view the QR codes, add and edit guest information and custom fields for all tickets, and email tickets to guests, if you’ve selected the Email Tickets to Invited Guests option in the Ticket Management settings. The purchaser will be able to edit guest information until the guest edits their own information for the first time.
The ticket purchaser can also resend and revoke tickets. Revoking a ticket will remove the guest’s access to the Manage Tickets page and clear any answers the original attendee entered.
